오늘 말씀드릴 內容(내용)은 지난번에 말씀했던 繼續(계속)을 가지고 말씀드리기로 하겠습니다.

아버님 獄中路程(옥중노정)에서 第一(제일) 아버님이 생각을 많이 하셨던 것은 平壤食口(평양식구)들이 다 떨어지고 나오는 사람들이 없었는데, 그 中(중)에 玉氏(옥씨) 母親(모친)과 金元弼先生(김원필선생)은 참 信仰(신앙)의 節槪(절개)를 지키고 아버님이 메시야요, 救世主(구세주)요, 이 땅 위에 오신 再臨主(재림주)로 그네들은 侍奉(시봉)하고 있었던 것입니다.

玉氏(옥씨)어머니는 男便(남편)과 子女(자녀)를 다 버리고 卽(즉) 모든 것을 다 犧牲(희생)하시면서 孝(효)의 길, 忠義(충의)의 길을 가신 분이여, 참 形言(형언)할 수 없는 貴(귀)한 信仰(신앙)을 가지고 信仰(신앙)의 節槪(절개)를 지켜오셨던 分입니다. 1998年12月 28日, 昇和(승화)하셨습니다.

아버님이 獄中(옥중)에서 第一(제일) 힘들었던 것은 무엇이냐고 하면 每日(매일) 日記(일기) 비슷하게 해서 써내는 內容(내용)이 있었답니다. 그것을 쓰는 것이 第一(제일) 아버님에게는 苦痛(고통)스러웠다는 말씀을 들은 적이 있습니다.

그런데 每年(매년) 여기에서 表彰(표창)을 하는데, 이 1年에 한 번씩 表彰(표창)하는 模範囚(모범수)로서 아버님은 賞(상)을 타셨던 분입니다. 그만큼 誠實(성실)히 服役(복역)하셨다는 證據(증거)입니다.

이것은 共産黨局(공산당국)에 忠誠(충성)하기 爲(위)한 것은 아니었습니다. 어디까지나 罪惡(죄악)으로 苦痛(고통)을 겪고 있는 모든 人間(인간)의 罪業(죄업)을 맡아 代身(대신) 蕩減(탕감)해야 할 責任(책임)이 있음을 아버님은 切感(절감)하면서 苦生(고생)을 自取(자취)하셨던 것입니다. 어차피 蕩減(탕감)을 받을 바에는 徹底(철저)히, 그리하여 完全(완전)히 치르자는 그 마음가짐에서였습니다.

또 어려운 일이 있었다면 每日(매일) 感想文(감상문)을 써 바치는 일이었다고 했습니다. 그러나 아버님은 그것을 쓰지 아니하셨습니다. 卽(즉), 어떠하다고도 쓸 수가 없었습니다. ｢좋다｣고 쓰면 그것은 그들의 非位(비위)를 맞추기 爲(위)해서 거짓을 行(행)하며 또 저들에게 順服(순복)하는 表示(표시)가 되기 때문에 쓰지 않으셨답니다. 또 그렇다고 해서 ｢나쁘다｣고 批判(비판)했다가는 到底(도저)히 無事(무사)히 그곳을 避(피)할 수가 없었기 때문이었습니다.

그러나 아버님은 언제나 말없이 일을 熱心(열심)으로 그 안에서 일하는 사람들 中(중)에 最高(최고)로 일을 잘 하고 계셨기 때문에 끝까지 그럭저럭 넘어갈 수가 있었답니다.

玉世賢(옥세현) 母親(모친)의 이야기를 들으면, 面會(면회) 가실 때마다 미숫가루와 또 衣服(의복), 신발을 갖다 드렸습니다. 그러하지만 그 다음번에 面會(면회) 갔을 때 보면 언제든지 그냥 헌 옷에 헌 고무신을 신고 계셔서 疑訝(의아)해하셨답니다.

나중에 獄(옥)에서 나온 이들에게 물어보았더니, 刑期(형기)를 마치고 나오는 이들에게 아버님은 입혀 주고 신겨 주고 또 남은 것은 나누어 주었다는 것입니다. 그리고 아버님은 그냥 헌 옷을 입고 계심이 아버님의 生活(생활)이었습니다.

그러던 中 1950年 여름 뜻하지 않는 悲劇(비극)의 날이 왔습니다. 이 悲劇(비극)은 北韓(북한)의 共産政權(공산정권)이 南侵(남침)으로써 始作(시작)된 6.25 事變(사변)이었습니다.

이때에 우리 韓國(한국), 이 南韓(남한)은 정말로 亡(망)하는 듯하였습니다. 人民軍(인민군)이 다 占領(점령)을 했던 것입니다. 그래서 많은 사람들이 南(남)으로 南(남)으로 避難(피난)을 했습니다.

그러나 하나님께서 함께 하심으로 말미암아 戰勢(전세)는 逆轉(역전)이 되었습니다. 이 戰爭(전쟁)에 聯合軍(연합군)이 合勢(합세)하여 人民軍(인민군)들이 北(북)으로 北(북)으로 逃亡(도망)치는 일이 있었습니다.

1950年8月 1日 100臺(대) 以上(이상)의 B-29 爆擊機(폭격기)가 날아와서 興南(흥남) 工場一帶(공장일대)를 4時間(시간) 繼續(계속)해서 爆擊(폭격)을 했습니다. 이날에 死亡(사망)한 罪囚(죄수)가 270名(명)이었고, 興南市(흥남시) 全體(전체)로는 總(총) 3,700名(명)이 죽어갔다는 것입니다.

그때 아버님은 하나님으로부터의 말씀이 계셔서 아버님을 中心(중심)하고 12m 距離(거리)의 圓內(원내)에는 爆彈(폭탄)의 破片(파편) 하나도 떨어지지 않는다고 해서 아버님 周邊(주변)에 많은 사람들이 모여들게 되었던 것입니다. 그 사람들은 한 사람도 죽지 않고 다 無事(무사)하였던 것입니다.

그러나 그때 聯合軍(연합군)이 쳐들어왔을 때에 共産黨(공산당)은 囚人(수인), 卽(즉) 罪囚(죄수)들을 무더기로 處刑(처형)하였습니다.

하루는 罪囚(죄수)들의 이름을 看守(간수)가 불러내었습니다. 그런데 그 이름이 아버님 前(전) 사람까지의 이름이 불리워졌습니다. 말은 ｢다른 場所(장소)로 移動(이동)하기 爲(위)해서 이름을 부른다｣고 했는데 그것이 아니었고, 이 罪囚(죄수)들을 全部(전부) 다 우물에다 갖다가 처넣고 죽였는데 거꾸로 박혀서 죽게 만들었고, 바로 아버님 前(전) 사람 이름까지만 불렀던 것입니다.

그러나 때는 새벽 2時(시), 이때 聯合軍(연합군)의 總攻擊(총공격)이 벌어졌습니다. 그래서 그때 사람들은 밤 2時(시)가 되었을 때 모조리 獄門(옥문)을 박차고 四方(사방)으로 避難(피난)을 했던 것입니다.

이날이 바로 10月(월) 14日(일), 그때 國軍(국군)이 아버님이 收容(수용)되었었던 그 收容所(수용소)를 第一(제일) 먼저 收復(수복)했던 것입니다.

興南(흥남)을 第一(제일) 먼저 收復(수복)했던 것은 攝理的觀點(섭리적관점)에서 볼 때 아버님을 救(구)하여 내시기 爲(위)한 하나님의 뜻이오, 作戰(작전)의 結果(결과)로 볼 수밖에 없습니다.

6.25 事變(사변)이 일어났던 것도 왜냐하면 정말로 아버님을 興南監獄(흥남감옥)에서 救出(구출)해 내시기 爲(위)한 하나님의 큰 뜻이 여기에 있었던 것입니다.

아버님께서도 그때 한 사람의 弟子(제자), 文正敏(문정민) 氏라고 하는 이와 더불어 平壤(평양)을 向(향)해 긴 徒步(도보)의 길을 떠나셨던 것입니다. 10日(일) 만인 10月(월) 24日(일)에 平壤(평양)에 到着(도착)하였습니다.

玉世(옥세) 母親(모친) 집에서 며칠을 留下(유하)하셨으나 더 계실 수 없어서 다른 곳으로 이사를 했답니다.

아버님은 한 뜻을 가슴에 품으시고 여섯 번의 獄苦(옥고)를 치르시면서도 사탄 앞에 屈(굴)하지 않으시고 堂堂(당당)하게 勝利(승리)해 나오셨던 것입니다.

그뿐 아니라 외로우신 아버지 하나님, 子女(자녀)를 잃으시고 萬物(만물)을 잃으시고 主權(주권)을 잃으시고 한날도 쉬시지 않으시고 子女(자녀)들의 이름을 부르시면서 미쳐 계시는 아버지 하나님의 心情(심정)을 누구보다도 우리 아버님은 아시고 體恤(체휼)하시고 계시는 분이셨습니다.

하나님도 아버님에게는 感動(감동)을 받지 않으실 수 없는 立場(입장)이었습니다. 사탄이 저질러 놓은 모든 歷史(역사)를 바로 세우시기 爲(위)하여 아버님께서는 참으로 홀로 이 뜻을 세우기 爲(위)해서 얼마나 애타하시고 참으로 가슴 아파하셨기 때문에 하늘이 돕지 않을래야 않을 수 없는 길, 靈界(영계)가 돕지 않을래야 않을 수 없는 길을 아버님은 걸어 나오셨던 것입니다.

우리가 熱心(열심)으로 해나가자고 아버님께서 아주 痛哭(통곡)하시면서 祈禱(기도)하셨던 그때를 생각할 때에, 이제 우리는 정말로 우리에게 맡겨주셨던 責任(책임)的(적) 使命(사명)을 다하면서 기필코, 기필코 成就(성취)해 드릴 수 있는 우리들이 되기를 바랍니다.

고맙습니다.

安寧(안녕)하십니까？今日(きょう)､お話しする内容は､前回お話しした続きをお話しすることにします｡

ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑが獄中路程で第一ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑが考えを多くされた事は､平壌(ﾋﾟｮﾝﾔﾝ)の食口達がみんな(教会を)離れて､出て来る人がいなかった中で､玉氏(ｵｸｼ)お母さんと金元弼(ｷﾑｳｫﾝﾋﾟﾙ)先生は本当に信仰の貞節を守り､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑがメシアであり救世主であり､この地上に来られた再臨主として､その人達が侍奉(じほう)していたからです｡

玉氏(ｵｸｼ)ｵﾓﾆは夫と子供をみんな捨て､すなわち､すべてを犠牲にしながら孝の道､忠の道を行かれた方(かた)であり､本当に言い表すことできない貴い信仰を持って信仰の貞節を守り来られた方です｡1998年12月28日に昇華されました｡

ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑが獄中で最も辛かったことは何かと言えば､毎日､日記のようなものを書いていたという(書くように言われた)内容があったということでした｡それを書くことがｱﾎﾞﾆﾑにとって最も苦痛だったという話を聞いたことがあります｡

毎年､ここ(監獄)で表彰をするのに､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは一年に1回表彰される模範囚として賞を受けた方(かた)です｡それだけ誠実に服役されたという証拠です｡これは共産党局に忠誠をする為のものではありませんでした｡どこまでも最悪の苦痛を抱えているすべての人間の罪業(ざいごう)を担(にな)い､代身､蕩減するべき責任があることをｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは痛感しながら苦労を自分からされたのです｡どうせ蕩減を受けるなら､徹底的に､そして完全にやり遂げようという心構えでした｡

また､難しいことがあったなら､(しかし､難しいことは)毎日感想文を書くことだったと言われました｡しかし､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑはそれを書きませんでした｡すなわち､どうしても書くことができませんでした｡｢良い｣と書けば､それは彼らの機嫌を取るために嘘をつくことになり､また彼らに従う表示となるため､書かなかったのです｡又､だからと言って､｢悪い｣と批判すれば､到底､その場を無事に避けることができなかったからです｡

しかし､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑはいつも言葉無く､これを熱心にその中で働く人々の中で最高に仕事を良くしておられたので､最後まで何とかやり過ごすことができたのです｡

玉氏(ｵｸｼ)お母さんの話を聞くと､面会に行くたびに雑穀の粉と衣服､靴を持って行って差し上げました｡しかし､その次に面会に行った時に見れば､いつもそのままの古い服に古いゴム靴を履いておられるのを見て､不思議に思ったそうです｡後(あと)で出所した人達に聞いてみると､刑期を終えて出て来る人達にｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは服を着せ､靴を履かせ､残ったものは分けて渡したということです｡そして､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑはそのまま古い服を着ておられるのが､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑの生活でした｡

そのような中､1950年の夏に思いがけない悲劇の日が訪れました｡この悲劇は北韓の共産政権が南侵によって始まった625(ﾕｷﾞｵ)事変でした｡この時に私達韓国は､この南韓(なんかん)は本当に亡(ほろ)びそうでした｡人民軍がすべてを占領したのでした｡それで､多くの人々が南へ南へと避難しました｡しかし､ﾊﾅﾆﾑが共におられることで戦局は逆転しました｡この戦争において､UN軍が加わり人民軍が北へ北へと逃亡することがありました｡1950年8月1日､100機以上のB29爆撃機が飛んで来て､興南(ﾌﾝﾅﾑ)工場一帯を4時間継続して爆撃しました｡この日に亡くなった囚人は270人であったし､興南(ﾌﾝﾅﾑ)市全体では総3,700人が死んで逝ったというのです｡

その時､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑはﾊﾅﾆﾑからの言葉があり､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑを中心に12㍍の距離の円内には爆弾の破片が一つも落ちないと言われたため､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑの周辺に多くの人々が集まるようになったのです｡その人達は一人も死なず､皆無事でした｡

しかし､その時の連合軍が入って来た時に､共産党は囚人を大量に処刑しました｡ある日､囚人の名前を看守が呼び出しました｡ところが､その名前はｱﾎﾞﾆﾑの前の人々までの名前が呼ばれました｡｢他の場所に移動する為に名前を呼ぶ｣と言ったのですが､それは違っていて､その囚人達をすべて井戸に逆さまにして投げ入れて殺したのでしたが､まさにｱﾎﾞﾆﾑの前の人の名前までを呼んでいたのでした｡

しかし､時は午前2時､その時に連合軍の総攻撃が行われました｡そのため､その時､人々は午前2時になったとき､すべての獄門を蹴破り､山の四方に避難したのです｡この日が即ち､10月14日｡その時､韓国軍がｱﾎﾞﾆﾑが収容されていたその収容所を最初に奪還したのです｡興南を最初に奪還したのは､摂理的な観点から見る時､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑを救い出す為のﾊﾅﾆﾑの御心であり､作戦の結果として見るほかありません｡625(ﾕｷﾞｵ)事変(=朝鮮戦争)が起こったのも､なぜならばｱﾎﾞﾆﾑを興南監獄から救出するためのﾊﾅﾆﾑの大きな御心がここにあったからです｡

ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑはその時､一人の弟子､文(ﾑﾝ)ｼﾞｮﾝﾐﾝ氏と共に興南(ﾌﾝﾅﾑ)を出発し､平壌(ﾋﾟｮﾝﾔﾝ)に向かって長い徒歩の道に発たれたのです｡10日後の10月24日に平壌に到着しました｡玉氏(ｵｸｼ)お母さんの家に数日間､留まりましたが､長く居ることができず､別の場所に引っ越したと言うことでした。

ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは一つの志(こころざし)を胸に抱かれ､六度の獄中生活を経験しながらもサタンの前に屈せず､堂々と勝利して出て来られたのです｡それだけでなく､孤独な父なる神は子供を失い､万物を失い､主権を失い､一日も休むことなく､子供達の名前を呼びながら狂っておられるｱﾎﾞｼﾞ ﾊﾅﾆﾑの心情を､誰よりも私達のｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは知られ､體恤(たいじゅつ)しておられる方(かた)でした｡ﾊﾅﾆﾑもｱﾎﾞﾆﾑには感動を受けざるを得ない立場でした｡サタンが引き起こしたすべての事を正しく立てる為にｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは本当に一人でこの御旨を立てる為にどれほど苦しみ､心を痛めておられたゆえに天が助けずにはおられない道､靈界が助けずにはおられない道をｱﾎﾞﾆﾑは歩まれ出て来られたのです｡

｢私達が熱心にして行こう｣と､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑが大変痛哭(つうこく)されながら､祈禱されていたその時を思い出す時に､今､私達は本当に私達に託された責任的使命を果たしながら､必ず､必ず､ｱﾎﾞﾆﾑが望まれていた御旨を成就して差し上げられる私達になることを願います｡ありがとうございます｡

Good morning everyone,

I would like to continue today with the content that I was speaking about in my last talk. Last time I was speaking to you about Father’s course in the Hungnam prison.

After Father entered prison all his Pyongyang congregation scattered. Only Mrs. Ok Se Hyun and Mr. Won Pil Kim visited Father regularly and they were the only ones who maintained their faith. Especially Mother Ok left her husband and her children, and gave up everything in order to maintain her faith. She really demonstrated the model for faith. She passed to the spiritual world on December 28, 1998.

Father once said to me that the most difficult thing for him in prison was to write a daily journal; he did actually write a daily journal but this was extremely difficult to do. The prison would give an award once a year to the person who was the model prisoner, and Father received the award year after year.

This shows that Father really took his prison life seriously and he did his best. But he did not do this to demonstrate loyalty to the communist party. Instead Father realized that it was his responsibility to take upon himself the sins of all humanity and to indemnify those sins. He thought that as long as he was going to pay indemnity he wanted to do so thoroughly and completely.

Another difficult thing for him was that the prisoners were required to write a letter of gratitude every day. Father however did not write such letters. If he had expressed that his life

in prison was good, then that would have been a lie. On the other hand if he had written a letter saying that things were bad then he would not have been able to survive. So he always turned in a blank sheet of paper when he was told to write his letters. This became a problem with the prison authorities, but because he was the best worker, he was somehow able to pass through.

Mrs. Ok told me that every time she visited Father she would take the mixture of powdered grain and also clothing and shoes, but when she would go the next time she would find out that he was still wearing the same clothes and the same shoes as before. He was not wearing what she took for him the time before. She found out later from people who has served with Father in that prison that he would actually give these clothes away to people who has finished their time and were being released. Father would continue to wear his old clothes. This was something that no one else could do; only Father could do this.

Then in the summer of 1950, the fateful day came. The outbreak of the Korean War happened in June 1950, and it began with the invasion of the South by the communists from the North. At the time it looked like South Korea would be destroyed. The North Korean army occupied almost all of South Korea. So many people became refugees and travelled south. However because God was with us, the situation of the war was reversed. The United Nations sent its forces and chased the North Korean army further and further to the north. B 29 bombers bombed the Hungnam prison area for many hours.

More than 200 prisoners were killed in that bombing, and in the nearby city of Hamhung 3,700 people died. Father received a message from God at that time that no bomb, not even any shrapnel would fall in a twelve meter radius from where he was. So he told people to gather around him; many people did so, and everyone who gathered around Father was saved. But as the UN forces approached from the South, the communists began to kill all their prisoners.

One day the communist guards called out the names of the people that they were going to kill, and the list stopped at the name of the person just before Father. The guards were telling the prisoners that people on the list were going to be moved to another location, but in reality they were going to be taken out and killed. And that list stopped at the person right above Father!

But then the United Nations started their all out attack at 2 o’clock in the morning. The prisoners then kicked open the prison gate and escaped into the surrounding hills. This was October 14, 1950 and Father also left the prison that day and began his walk to Pyongyang together with another prisoner named Moon Jong Bin. The South Korean army took control of the prison.

We can only say that the purpose of the Korean War from the providential point of view was to liberate Father. It was God’s plan and strategy to save him from the death camp.

So Father walked for ten days from Hungnam to Pyongyang, and arrived there on October 24th. At first he stayed at the home of Mrs. Ok but after a few days there, he had to move to another location.

Father always maintained one purpose in his life, and even though he went to prison six times he never compromised or he never submitted to Satan. Not only that, but Father always thought of the heart of Heavenly Father, that Heavenly Father had lost his children, had lost all things, had lost his sovereignty and that He was calling out the name of his children every day. Father understood that; he understood Heavenly Father’s heart completely!

So Heavenly Father could not help but be moved by True Father. Father travelled a course where he tried to right everything that had been made wrong by Satan, to comfort God’s heart and to recover everything that God had lost.

So that was my talk to you about Father in North Korea.

Now I’d like to talk to you about our Father’s arrest on July 4, 1955. Starting a couple of months before that date, the police were coming to the house in the Chonggu-dong section of Seoul to investigate Father. They were coming to the house about every day and were harassing Father and the members.

Many people whose faith was not completely centered fell away during that time. We were feeling lonely then because many of our brothers and sisters were living the church, but Heaven also sent many people to us to encourage us, so that we could remain in the faith. The five major newspapers in Korea at that time were publishing stories on a daily basis about us with huge headlines. Day after day they had stories with huge headlines saying, “Unification Church is a cult, is a pseudo religion, and it’s a heresy. “ Not only that, but they would make up stories, create completely fake news that are not even worth mentioning because they were of such a scandalous content.

Before all this very few people in Korea had heard of the Unification Church but as a result of these newspaper articles, everyone in Korea, even people in the remotest areas came to know the name of the Unification Church. If you were to try and calculate how much money we would have spent for advertising or to get that same kind of coverage, you can’t even imagine how much it would have cost.

But God did not forsake us in our loneliness. I remember specifically one person who was a former member of the National Assembly and an elder in a Christian church. He had read all the articles in the newspaper, but it was so terrible that he wanted to find out for himself. He prayed to God saying, “What is this Unification Church? I think it’s about time that Jesus returns, but when he is going to come?” He said he heard an answer to his prayer, “If you go to the group that is criticized the most in today’s society in Korea then the way will be open for you to meet the Messiah.”

We had become so infamous in Korea, that even elementary school children were familiar with the name ‘Unification Church’. So this man, his name was Kim Sam, he asked a child along the street, “Where is the Unification Church? “And the child led him to the church. Mr. Kim testified during one of our worship services, “There is no doubt that Rev. Sun Myung Moon is the Messiah. God came to me in my prayer and told me this.” I remember he quoted Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.“And he told us to remain with our faith. I remember as if it was just yesterday even though it has been many decades now.

On another time there were three spiritual masters who were praying on Mount Chin, which is in the southwestern section of Korea. They prayed for a thousand days in the mountain, and on the night before the thousandth day, they prayed to God, “We’ve been praying for You to tell us when the Lord is going to come. We were certain that You would tell us on this thousandth day!” And he publicly declared that “On the night before our thousandth day of prayer, God came to us and said that there would be a tremendous providence taking place in the world centering on that location.”

Through these testimonies we could see that God truly loved our church. Many people came and testified that Rev. Sun Myung Moon was a precious person and that God loved him very much as his son.

Father was taken into custody to the Sodaemun prison on July 4th 1955 and he was released on October 4th the same year. He was found ‘not guilty’. Father was never convicted of any crime at that time, but he was treated as if he were a common criminal. He was chained together with criminals and he spent ninety days in prison.

I remember the day that Father was released. We were so happy! The fact that he was found ‘not guilty’ was a confirmation that Father was without sin. Heaven testified that he was a man without sin, and that he had been sent to this world in order to bring salvation.

At that time we rededicated ourselves to serve him and serve the providence through him. I remember that when Father was released from prison, he had lost a lot of weight; he had suffered a great deal in prison. When Father was released we determined ourselves that we would follow him with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience in order to accomplish God’s will in the world.

Father had been in prison two years and eight months in North Korea, and ninety days in South Korea. I remember the day that he was released. We wanted to have a great feast for him, but this was the time when we had no money; so all we could do was take some corn on the cob, fry that and share that with each other. That was all that we could do! Father prayed in tears, and we prayed in tears that day. I remember that very clearly.

Father was talking about how proud he was of us because he said we had overcome all difficulties, all suffering in order to meet him again after his release. And he said, “Let’s work hard now to accomplish God’s will and bring his kingdom to this earth.”
